Big Bend
Sean R. Gilles, known affectionately as "Captain Sean" of Big Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 54 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Born in Fort Riley, Kansas on February 26, 1970, he was the son of Ronald and Diane Gilles (nee Fox). Sean proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Throughout his life, Sean pursued various passions including motorcycles, skateboarding, outdoor activities, fishing, and hunting - boasting proudly of his 25-point buck. His enthusiasm for fishing led him to establish "Fish Addiction," a private fishing charter business on Lake Michigan where he was fondly referred to as Captain Sean. In recent years, Sean also worked as an electrician for Northwestern Mutual.
On October 5, 2018, he married Lisa Gilles (nee Reid), whom he cherished deeply. Together they were blessed with two children, William James and Eva Marie - the greatest joys of his life. Sean had a deep love, strong faith and trust in the Lord and regularly attended services with his family at Bridge Church.

Sean's presence will be greatly missed but his legacy will live on through the memories he created with those around him.
Sean is survived by his beloved wife Lisa and their children William and Eva; his parents Ronald and Diane Gilles; sister Dawn (Aaron) Perkovich; brothers Thomas (Shannon) Gilles and Joseph (Kathleen) Gilles; father and mother-in-law Ron and Ruth Reid; brother-in-law Jeff (Hannah) Reid; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
